Creating the Whole Picture “Jane, just keep moving your feet forward on the pedals. If you keep moving them forward the bike will go forward. You do know what forward means?”
“Yes, go that way,” Jane points in the right direction.
“If you move your feet and legs forward than the bike will move,” probably said with a little too much exasperation. extra-curricular activities that is not of the athletic variety is band and chess club.
I can watch a ball game and marvel at the talent and work required of the outfielder who at exactly the right second leaps up into the air and catches a ball which was destined to end up in the bleacher. I can watch Tiger Woods and appreciate the beauty in his swing. I just hope years from now, that my children and their peers can see a play and appreciate the actor’s ability to create a believable character. I hope that they can look at a stitched sampler and see the beauty of each even stitch that creates a whole picture. Maybe that is what this is all about, creating the whole picture, a picture of a whole person with multiple interests and talents and being able to appreciate those with different likes and abilities.
